Currently, this area of Lyon County is the most reliable in the area to find Western Kingbird as successful nesting has occurred for decades.
Directions: The intersection of 250th Street (East-West) and 120th Avenue (North-South) is most easy to access by turning South from MN Hwy 19 onto 130th Avenue (paved road), then turning West on to 250th Street 2 miles South of MN Hwy 19.
Be sure to travel South, and North on 120th Avenue from this intersection as the birds often perch on fencing along this road. And while you’re in the area, North 1 mile of this intersection is a great location for Willow, and Least Flycatcher during Spring and early Summer.
